Daylesford Rotary held a Great Book Swap as part of the Daylesford Farmers Market on Saturday 27 November.

Thank you to everyone who came along and swapped a gold coin for a book to support the work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Over $460 was raised on the day, with a total of $838, including other donations from community members.

The Indigenous Literacy Foundation aims to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families by not only gifting thousands of new, culturally appropriate books - with a focus on early literacy and first language - but also by running programs to inspire the communities to tell and publish their own stories, in the languages they choose.
