The Daylesford Days for Girls team is part of an international not-for-profit organisation that has a network of teams around the world. We welcome new volunteers to join our local group.

DAYS FOR GIRLS is a feminine care program providing quality, sustainable solutions for girls who have nothing to manage their periods.  Without access to feminine care products, many girls stay isolated during menstruation, with no study for days.

Daylesford Rotary has financially supported our Days for Girls team in Daylesford to make washable, reusable sanitary kits. Each washable kit contains:
  • 2 moisture barrier shields
  • 8 trifold liners
  • 1 hotel sized soap
  • 2 pairs of undies
  • 1 washcloth
  • 1 moisture proof bag
  • A pictorial instruction sheet

These are all contained within a drawstring bag to provide privacy. A DAYS FOR GIRLS kit lasts for three years and allows a girl to attend school every day of every month.

Our Team meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month at Verey’s Chapel – off Millar Street, Daylesford, from 1:30pm – 4:00pm. We welcome new volunteers to join our group. You don’t need to be able to sew as there are many tasks that need to be done to complete the kits.
